The image above has used multiple imagery to represent different movements a hand can do and the different positions it can be held in. Not only this, but it can also show how different hand gestures can relate to different feelings or gestures, for example the image in the top right is a symbol from Star Trek and so could represent the fact that the person is a fan of the franchise. The hand below, on the other hand, is showing a thumbs up, which represents happiness. This image shows the uniqueness and abilities of a hand.
I have used multiple imagery in my work to show how different and unique everyone is. Through the use of multiple imagery and different body parts, I was able to show in a simple way that even the smallest parts of a person are different to another. In this image, we can see that the skin tone, the bone structure, the presentation and the way that they hold themselves are all different. Due to so many differences being found in the two simple images, I feel that the picture was successful in proving that every person is unique in appearance.
There are a couple of similarities between the two images. Firstly, both the first photographer and myself have used multiple imagery as a way of presenting our work. It is a simple way of showing multiple images at once but keeping them together in one single image. Also, both images focus of the hand as the main subject. Both have done this in order to show the uniqueness and versatility of the hand.
Although, there are some differences between the pictures. Firstly, whilst both images focus on the distinctiveness of a hand, they do it to prove different points. The first image uses the same hand in different positions to show how adaptable and flexible a hand is. The aim of my image is to show how even something as simple as a hand looks different for every person. Also, a clear difference between the images is the amount of pictures used. The top image uses nine images, whereas mine only uses two.
